Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup marinara sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken breasts until golden, about 3 minutes on each side. This adds a nice color and locks in flavor!
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
Place the seared chicken breasts in the baking dish. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
