Pour this juicy sauce on pork shoulder in a slow cooker. You’ll ditch the takeout menus for good

half a cup of soy sauce
Brown sugar, half a cup; chili-garlic sauce, two teaspoons (or gochujang)
1 inch of peeled and grated fresh ginger
Use one teaspoon of toasted sesame oil.
2 and a half pounds of pork shoulder, skinned and cubed to 2 inches in thickness
Optional seasonings: salt & pepper
Put all of the ingredients into a 5-quart slow cooker: soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, chili-garlic sauce, and sesame oil.
For step two, add salt and pepper to the pork. Put everything in the slow cooker and stir in the sauce.
3. Simmer, covered, for 8 hours on low heat.

Add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch to 3 tablespoons of water and toss into the slow cooker towards the end of the cooking time for a thicker, stickier sauce. Permit to sit covered for 5 minutes prior to serving.
